Clarity…
A plan… a life plan?
A soul plan?
What could we know beyond life and death?
…We are born…we live for as many years as we do…and then…we die…
So we know this much…
And then there is an amazing poem titled The Dash Poem by Linda Ellis…
What do we do with our life between the dash that marks our birth…and death?
…Thought provoking to say the least…
I see more…as well…
I see a planned life…
Much, much more comes into our lives than we could have ever asked for…
Some so beautiful and incredible and magical…
And some so completely…impossibly…hard…and mysterious…
I’ve been taught…and now shown …especially in these last almost twenty years since Scott’s death…that life is far more than I could have ever, ever, ever considered…or figured on…or hoped for or…or ever possibly taken in…
When Scott died…life as I had known it…was never to be again…
You know this too…
But…in time…more showed me that there was still love around me…my family…friends…Scott’s friends…new bereaved parents I would never have known…opportunities to see life in new ways… and to grow…Scott…music, love, and signs…the other side…seeing death and even though I fought it…it taught me.
Did I see any of this coming my way?
No…
Remember…I wanted to die…
Life kept bringing me something more…not always easy stuff…
Some of it pretty darned hard…scary…beyond awful…debilitating…throw in the towel kind of hard…
But I lived…and I fought back by learning…to stand up for myself…to know the challenges tested me…and yet…I wanted to honor Scott…so I could not…give up.
I had to know that Scott’s death was just not a random act of…
That it had meaning…
Have you felt this too?
This death must have meaning…
And in seeking the meaning of his death…I was shown more…
Life has more meaning and is more detailed than we can know, I think…
If life is planned…how do we make it happen…or does it come to us…by way of…life?
Even if it is hard and doesn’t always make sense? Do we…in time…begin to see meaning in it?
I’ve had some very amazing things come into my life…that I could not have hoped for…I didn’t ask for…and yet they showed me healing…and growth…
I could see more clearly…and then I could help others…
I believe our lives are planned before we are born… And we are living out that plan…even with the deaths of our loved ones…
Does it help you to consider this? That the death of your loved one was not random?
That those who have come into your life since this death were meant to be there for you…or with you?
A lot to take in for some of you perhaps…
Please think about it…
It may be the lifeline you’ve been searching for…
I hope you’ll be back…for greater clarity…
Trust…there is clarity…
We’ll share more tomorrow…it’s Scott’s birthday…

I agree with everything that you are saying. Especially with the following:
I believe our lives are planned before we are born… And we are living out that plan…even with the deaths of our loved ones…
I look at the year before my son died and sometime I think that God prepared me and lead me in so many ways.
SO TRUE.. so brave of to to seek the truth. A GIFT of love Continual love from Scott. I too have felt and know this awareness since my daughter’s passing just 6 years ago. There is great meaning and lessons to be learned, possibly only through the suffering that we have endured can you see this light. Blessings .
Such amazing words from you Lynn…to be able to see what this journey creates and to know it is in the suffering we do learn so much. It’s all about our love…their love. Thank you…
It is helpful to know that Sean’s life plan, and possibly mine was chosen at some point in time. It is easier to reconcile the loss of my only child. This life is not random……
This is one of the biggest knowings that has helped me Joy. Life planning…soul planning. Random is too hard to take in… Life does have great meaning when we can begin to see it. xox
